For those who like to make race-day decisions for their Active Pursuits, here?s a list of offerings to Sign Up. Line Up. And Go! this weekend.

The $35 admission covers riding on the ramps and rails in the park, tickets for prizes and news about the Bike Fed?s agenda for 2013. Click here for more details.

John Dick Memorial 50K: A 50K run on snow-covered trails may be an intimidating prospect but runners can knock off as many loops as they want for a long, supported mid-winter training session. This is the 25th annual race based at the D.J. Mackie Group Picnic Area at Ottawa Lake, off Highway ZZ south of Dousman. Race-day registration is just $15, and opens at 6 a.m. on Saturday. Registration for the 10K is $35, the 5K is $30 and the kids? race costs $15. Sign up from 4:30 to 5:30. Click here for more information.

Badger State Games: The mid-week storm dropped five inches of timely snow on the Nine Mile Recreation Area, ensuring a full slate of ski races in the 25th annual Badger State Winter Games. Note that registration closes at noon on Friday, with the races starting on Saturday morning, just outside of Wausau. The 43K race, a Birkebeiner qualifier, costs $60, and the 21K is $50. Racing starts with the juniors 7K at 9 a.m. Click here for the full schedule.

Candlelight Ski: The fresh snow also improved conditions for 10 candlelight ski outings in Wisconsin State Parks, on Saturday night. Bonfires will be burning and hot chocolate will be brewing in Blue Mound State Park, Mirror Lake, Harrington Beach and the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest.
