Seahawks Ask Fans to Help Local Elementary School Win Grant

RENTON, Wash. - The Seahawks announced today a campaign to garner votes for Gatewood Elementary School in Seattle as part of a partnership with NFL PLAY 60 and
DonorsChoose.org.

The program, which was launched this year by the NFL in partnership with DonorsChoose.org, features two deserving youth health and fitness projects from the cities of the two teams competing in the NFL Network Thursday Night Football game. The winning project will be funded 100 percent by NFL PLAY 60, and the other will receive funding of 50 percent.

"My students are full of energy and creativity yet lack music for their exercise program," said P.E. teacher Mr. Beaty. "This project will provide a portable PA system which will play music inside or outside so my students will get up and get active."

Vote online at www.nflrush.com/choose/week6?from Saturday, October 13 - Thursday, October 18. Fans may vote one time each hour until Thursday at 8:59 p.m. (PDT).
