VIDEO: Google Opens New HQ in Toronto
It was ranked second on the list of the World's Best Employers by CNN money, and now Google has a brand-spanking new headquarters here in Toronto. The ribbon was cut this week.
Along with being the home base for one of the biggest names on the Internet, it also has spaces for employees to have some down-time to recharge.
Google Canada's Managing Director Chris O'Neill calls their office a "culture".
The five-floor space includes the standard work stations but also a pool table, ping pong tables, a small mini-golf course on a patio, mini kitchens and board games.
It also has a secret room for employees to lounge in.
O'Neill says it helps "Googlers" take a break from work and recharge. He even encourages them to write on the white walls if they have a flash a brilliance and nowhere to document it.
