To all the secession-haters

Texas has the 15th largest economy in the world.

We can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. We refine over 85 percent of the gasoline in the United States. You may want to buy a bicycle ? you?re going to need it.

We have all the natural gas we will ever need. You will have no gas to heat your home.

We have over 65 percent of the defense industry. We lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications equipment. You won?t have any TV, as the Space Center in Houston will cut off satellite communications.

We have essential control of the paper, plastics and insurance industries.

Everybody owns at least six guns. We can raise an army in 24 hours if we need one.

We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, pork, grain, fruits, vegetables and seafood.

Texas has more land than California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Rhode Island and Vermont combined.

Three of the ten largest ports in the United States are located in Texas.

There isn?t a thing out there that we need and don?t have.

I wonder if Texas wants to leave the Union as much as Dallas County would like to leave Texas.

Wonderful! If Texas secedes from the Union, we will automatically be first in education, health insurance for all residents and any other category where we are currently below the national average, since we will be our own country.
