Ever stormed out of a restaurant, a retail establishment, or a child's birthday party? How about off of a yacht? Pretty tricky stuff, that walking on water, though?Anderson Cooper was probably considering it yesterday. See,?Cooper and?his long-term boyfriend, Ben Maisani, were?yachting in the middle of the Adriatic Sea when those photos surfaced of Ben in a lip-lock with another guy.
Life & Style Magazine spoke to an alleged?insider who says that "Anderson was with Ben in Croatia when he was told about the photos. They were on a yacht. They flew to Croatia on Aug. 11, one day after the photos were taken. Anderson's upset ? who wouldn't be?"
The timing couldn't be worse. Last month, a big deal was made of Cooper officially coming out as a gay man ? not that he?d ever denied it, but it was the first time he?d made a public statement about it. The news even sparked rumours that Cooper and Maisani would soon wed. Anderson's mom, Gloria Vanderbilt, was allegedly urging her son to settle down and raise a family. Sorry Gloria, but that might not be happening as soon as you'd like.
Life & Style reports that the couple, who live together, "do not have an open relationship," and that "the betrayal has hit Anderson hard." When the photos first surfaced, people speculated that the couple might have quietly broken up without the hassle of a Cooper?s PR person making an announcement, but now it seems that's not the case.
On the up side, Anderson now has a valid reason to call up Robert Pattinson for a pint and some commiseration.
